Collections on Ebay, formerly known as the “me page” creates new gallery
I wrote about Collections on Ebay awhile back. The new page where Collections can be stored and viewed by others. It use to be called the “Me” (about me) page. I tried making a collection from a few of my own listings several times a few months ago. But I couldn’t seem to get it to work for me.
I created a Collection on Ebay called “Sweet Shower Curtains.” I nearly always have shower curtain listed on Ebay. So I opened my browser and loaded a few shower curtains into my brand new Shower Curtains Collection on Ebay. Then I sat back to see what would happen and appreciate all my hard work for a moment. The thrill of looking at my Shower Curtain Showcase Collection on Ebay lasted about 5 minutes. My browser was set to “Items ending first!” You got it! I had barely created my Pretty Shower Curtain Showcase till every item in it–ended!
By the time I had copied/pasted/posted and written a new byline for each item in the Collection on Ebay for Shower Curtains — Every item had already ended. Gone! Poof! Delete!
I threw my hands up and gave up! Done! No more Collections on Ebay for me! They took way too much time for too little reward–
Then I get an email from Ebay last week. Probably the same email all of you received. It encouraged me to try the “Collections” on Ebay one more time and offered a significant improvement as bait.
Okay, I took the bait– read the entire letter. Ebay hit on every issue that had turned me away from using Collections on Ebay in the first place and convinced me to try again.
This time I followed the exact instructions per the email from Ebay. In no time at all I had created 5 Collections on Ebay; Shower Curtain, Pillow Shams (of various sizes) and a few other items. It was quite easy and once I learned how simple it is to relist as they end–I really like the idea of these Collections.
I don’t know how responsible the Collection page is for new subscribers to my store, but I did notice that I went from 3 to 25 subscribers to my Collections page. That’s good enough for me.
