New Shoes for Spring
I have always worn flip flops or backless sandals in the summer. Arizona summers are exceptionally hot and canvas sneakers mean sweaty feet. Well, sweaty and stinky feet, to be totally honest. So flip flops are customary fair for daily wear in the desert. When it’s 110 degrees anything with more leather than a cow’s hoof is gross.
This year will be a little different for me. I’ve been feeling restricted for awhile. I can’t drive anymore which means I can’t shop alone anymore. For An Ebay Seller who haunted the dry goods stores three times a week for more than a decade that is pretty horrific. And when I do go out where much walking is involved, flip-flops are a no no!
As my COPD progresses, I find that I’m having more balance issues than previously. I trip easier and require more support than a rubber shoe with a flopping heel.
These are a few summer sandals that I’ve found. I think they’re pretty and dressy but still look comfortable for a half hour shopping spree. Good grief! I can’t believe I’m limited to 30 minutes in Walmart. Whaaaa!
I feel a long post about domineering, hard-headed hubby coming soon–
